History
A family-owned company serving you since 1884.
Rohn Metal began over 100 years ago as a small manufacturing plant in downtown Milwaukee under the name George F. Rohn Electrical Company. Since its beginning, Rohn has set the standard for custom-designed cabinets, panels, electrical enclosures and metal parts.
Ideal Parts, Inc. purchased Rohn Metal in 1998. Ideal Parts has been owned by the Stimac family for over 20 years. The company began as Allied Manufacturing, a small stamping business started by Mark and D.J. Stimac.
In 2000, the company changed its name to Ideal Manufacturing Solutions and formed three lines of business: Rohn Custom Enclosures, Ideal Parts and Contract Products.
Leading the way for innovation.
Rohn Metal's origins as the first manufacturer of an unlined electrical conduit in the United States and as one of the first patent holders of an electrical cabinet led the company to be an industry leader in innovation. Rohn was also one of the first custom fabricators to integrate laser-cutting technology within its manufacturing processes.
On the cutting edge.
Ideal Manufacturing Solutions has developed computer automation and universal tooling methods to create complex die designs quickly and with lower costs than you would typically pay. Today, we are the first to utilize Web technology to engineer custom enclosures quickly and efficiently.
